In sickness and in health....
Productivity can be the key to a hugely successful company - and it is well known that the happiness and health of employees is the key to productivity.
For many businesses the way to achieve this is to show staff they are cared for and provide them with the means to care for themselves.
Beaumont Lawrence, based in Shrewsbury, has been working with businesses for more than 40 years to find the best group health coverage care policies.
With a health insurance plan in place, employees are more likely to have regular checkups and take preventative medical steps to ensure they don’t take as many sick days.
And if their health does take a turn for the worse they can be safe in the knowledge that their employer has provided support for them.
Sue Palmer runs the health care insurance policy packages for Beaumont Lawrence, which has offices in the Sweetlake Business Park.
She said: “When companies have a health care package, it is an added bonus for staff and shows they are looked after by the company.
“It also helps the company because employees can get seen quicker than is usual through the National Health Service and get back to work more quickly. An individual is unlikely to take out private cover as it’s just too expensive.”
Mrs Palmer said Beaumont Lawrence can act as the broker for a wide range of health insurance packages, including for groups as small as three people.
“If a company is interested, they can contact me and I will get a proposal out, taking all the details of the company members they want to cover,” she added.
“I send that out to various insurers for a quotation and then see what suits the client best.
“It is certainly popular and something that caring companies are taking up to help their workforce be the healthiest it can be.”
